Hudson Valley Credit Union’s Nominating Committee has nominated the following candidates for six open positions in our Board of Directors Election. Candidates are listed in random order. There were no candidates by petition. Election results will be formally announced at the Annual Meeting on June 28, 2022.
Candidate #1 – Nancy Boehm (Nominated to serve a 3-year term)
Present & Past Work Experience: Global Chief Information Officer, Perella Weinberg Partners since February 2019. Chief Information & Operating Officer: Commercial Technology and Operations & Treasury Operations, CIT Group, NA 2007 to 2018. Chief Operating Officer & Director - Citigroup Trust, Global Wealth Management from 2003- 2007. Additional positions held with Nextgen Technology PTE. Ltd, Deutsche Asset Management (Asia) Ltd., Bank of Bermuda, Citibank NA, and Chase Manhattan Bank NA.
Education: MBA International Finance & Economics, Fordham University. Bachelor of Accountancy, The George Washington University.
Credit Union Involvement: First Vice Chair, Board of Directors. Currently member of the Compensation and Benefits Committee. Former member of the Governance and Asset Liability/Finance Committee. HVCU member since 2009.
Civic Involvement: President of The Grolier Club. Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society (FRAS). Member of the Association Internationale de Bibliophilie (AIB), the Hakluyt Society, and ASENE (Association for the Study of Travel in Egypt and the Near East). Serves on the Executive Committee, Board of Trustees of the America Trust for the British Library, and the Library and Art Committee of The University Club of New York.
Candidate #2 – Alisa Swire (Nominated to serve a 3-year term)
Present & Past Work Experience: Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Johnson Outdoors, Inc. in Racine, WI (2001–2016), where she served as Co-Chair of the Risk Committee. Director, International Mergers and Acquisitions for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in Bentonville, AR (1999-2001). Additional positions with Case Corporation in Racine, WI; Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, CA; and Shearman & Sterling in New York, NY. Speaker at various director, executive and graduate education programs, including the National Directors Institute. Current member of the New York State Bar Association. Previously member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals, and Wisconsin General Counsel Forum.
Education: J.D. cum laude, Boston University School of Law. B.A., Sociology, Vassar College.
Credit Union Involvement: HVCU member since 2020.
Civic Involvement: Currently serves Vassar College in a variety of roles, including as member of the House Committee of the Alumnae/i Association. Active member of the New York State Bar Attorney Emeritus Program as a pro bono volunteer. Previously member of the Board of Trustees and Finance Committee Chair for Poughkeepsie Day School, director for Conversations Unbound, Inc., director of Racine Art Museum, and Refugee Resettlement Coordinator for the Greater Newburgh Interfaith Council.
Candidate #3 – Keith Baskett (Nominated to serve a 3-year term)
Present & Past Work Experience: Pilot – B777 Captain with United Airlines. Owns Pilot Properties, LLC, a real estate investment company with residential real estate in New York and California. Serves as President of Fast Forward Trending, a B2B consumer product consulting and development company. Principal of North Park Woodcraft LTD in Hyde Park, NY. Maintains active engagement with The Wings Club, The Airline Pilots Association, and The Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals.
Education: BS, Aeronautical Science, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Credit Union Involvement: Currently a member of HVCU utilizing a variety of personal and business products.
Civic Involvement: Beyond the Dream Foundation Board of Directors, currently Secretary. Member Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Past member of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, the Nevada Minority Supplier Development Council, and the National Confectioners Association.
Candidate #4 – Benjamin Smith (Nominated to serve a 2-year term)
Present & Past Work Experience: Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer with Nuvance Health System, Danbury, CT. Previously Chief Information Security Officer for MultiCare Health System in Seattle/Tacoma, WA; Information Security Officer for Rochester Regional Health in Rochester, NY; and Manager, IT Operations and Information Security and Privacy Officer for Greater Rochester Independent Practice Association also in Rochester. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) since 2007; Certified Professional in Health Information Technology (CPHIT) since 2008; and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) since 2012.
Education: MBA, Rochester Institute of Technology. BS – Management Information Systems with a minor in Political Science, Rochester Institute of Technology.
Credit Union Involvement: HVCU member since 2022.
Civic Involvement: Currently Governing Board Member of Evanta – New York City CISO Summit; member Healthcare Board of Advisors, CI Security for Critical Informatics; member Board of Directors for the Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology Alumni Association; member, Policy and Medical Device Security Committees for CHIME- AEHIS; and member of the FBI Citizen’s Academy Alumni Association. Previously Governing Board Member of Evanta –Seattle CIO/CISO Summit; Advisory Board Member for University of Washington School of Engineering and Technology; Board Member for Epilepsy–Pralid, Inc.; member of Pacific Northwest Security Collaborative; member of RHIO Privacy and Security Sub-Committee for NYS Health Information Security and Privacy Collaboration; member of HIPAA Community Group of Upstate NY; and member HIMSS Privacy and Security Toolkit Work Group.
Candidate #5 – Marianne Collins (Nominated to serve a 2-year term)
Present & Past Work Experience: Dean of Advancement and Continuing Education at SUNY Ulster (Retired 2015). Led and supervised the College Foundation and all the programs and initiatives of the Continuing and Professional Education Division including the Small Business Development Center. As Chief Advancement and Government Relations Officer, served as a member of the president’s executive staff. Previously, Governor’s Mid-Hudson Regional Representative, coordinating NYS’s response to the IBM downsizing in the early 1990’s; Director of Individual Giving at SUNY New Paltz; grant-writing/development consultant for not for profit corporations; and Executive Director of Creative Music Foundation.
Education: BS Social Science/Political Science, SUNY College at Buffalo. Post-graduate study at Hamilton College.
Credit Union Involvement: HVCU Director since 2016, currently serving as Secretary/Treasurer. Chair of the Finance Committee and the Compensation and Benefits Committee, as well as a member of the Governance and Nominations Committee. Past member of ad hoc committees on HVCU’s Mission/Vision/Values and Strategic Planning. Served for one year on the Nominating Committee. Attended 2017, 2018, and 2019 NAFCU Conferences, each time testing for and achieving NAFCU Volunteer Expert Certification. HVCU member since 2015.
Civic Involvement: Founding Director and Secretary of the Woodstock Housing Alliance, a newly formed NYS not-for-profit dedicated to creating sustainably affordable and workforce housing in Woodstock and surrounding communities. Honorary Trustee, D and H Canal Historical Society. Served 14 years on SUNY New Paltz College Council, appointed by both Governors Mario Cuomo and George Pataki. Former Trustee of the Woodstock Library. Founding member and first Chair of Friends of Hudson Valley Libraries. Served on the Ulster County Charter Commission and Charter Transition Committee; the Ulster County Workforce Investment Board, Ulster County BOCES Vo-Tec Committee and the Stewart Airport Noise Abatement Committee.
Candidate #6 – Jay Pantaleo (Nominated to serve a 1-year term)
Present & Past Work Experience: Currently Professional Lecturer of Decision Sciences, Marist College. Previous Marist positions include Director of Executive Programs, Director of Finance and Budget, and Assistant Controller. Faculty Advisor to Marist Business Club and Founding Advisor of Marist Women in Business. Previous positions with Loehmann’s in Bronx, NY; BenefitPort in Greenwich, CT; Regeneron Pharmaceuticals in Tarrytown, NY; and Development Alternatives in Bethesda, MD.
Education: MBA, Financial Management, Marist College. Bachelor of Accountancy, The George Washington University.
Credit Union Involvement: Lifetime member of Hudson Valley Credit Union.
Civic Involvement: Board Chair, Town of East Fishkill Board of Assessment Review. Former Trustee and Director for New York College & Universities Risk Management Group.
